Homegrown Chef
Burger Showdown 4.0

Homegrown Chef is proud to host the 4th annual chefy Burger Competition, the BURGER SHOWDOWN 4.0, to help support the San Antonio Food Bank, at Alamo Beer on Oct. 13 from 6 to 9 pm this year. Top San Antonio chefs compete and you eat! We challenge our guests to eat all the burgers - we've never seen it done!

Besides approximately 10 gourmet sliders, Homegrown Chef will be making fresh-fried French Fries and Texas Cookie Shop will be providing their scrumptious scratch-made cookies for dessert. This is an outdoor event, so come out and enjoy a one-night-only burger feast with us!

Additionally, Alamo Beer will be hosting karaoke on this evening, brought to you by Irish Cowboy Productions Karaoke, so join in on the fun! Sometimes the chefs even sing.

Although typically this is an audience-voted competition, this year we plan to have a judge's panel as well. However, we still rely on your tastebuds. You get to vote for your favorite burger and decide who the 1st Place Audience-Voted Winning Chef will be!

Judge's panel includes Great Day SA's reporter, Clark Finney; Edible San Antonio's co-publisher, Ralph Yznaga; and San Antonio Food Bank's director of food sustainability, Mitch Hagney.
